" I am out for Muay Thai - See you later, aligator "The „third“ week at Tiger Muay Thai in Chiang Mai has started and we are following a streak of AHA moments. I feel muy blessed to feel this energy of movements. I am flowing like water and my kicks are cutting like a sword. It’s an incredible feeling and I am super intrigued to fight with this style. Sure, I need more time to train and I could injure myself at any time. Unfortunately, I have hurt my big toe already and it seems that I have to calm myself down. However, I wish everyone to experience extraordinary states like this and ask you to follow your intuition and to “risk” something in your life. What are you attracted to.? The approach that I am going is pretty old but it will give you the experiences that are extraordinary. I just figured that the first Step is based on Emotional Intelligence and the motivation to live a balanced life. It means that you do not train the whole time to become an ultra warrior but you study to understand who you are in first place. In Taoist tradition they titled that: “empty your mind” which you may have heard from Bruce Lee who goes on “be formless – be shapeless – empty your mind” and is referring to knowing yourself and the environment and society around you. Basically it is about how the culture is moving and science has figured that the rules by that humans move are universal and therefore my teacher Dirk W. Eilert has summarized the given Emotional Movements into his conceptual framcework called "the motivational compass" But first I want to write something about the investigation and exploration of Mixed Martial Art around the Globe: My experience is that Muay Thai is very musical. In every match you hear how the sound of the trumpets are flowing through the room and that the fighters move to the tones, to the people watching and the opponent(s). The level of awareness is inspiring and awakens in me the desire to become strong myself. “Strong?” You could ask and continue questioning: “You said you are inspired by their awareness and not by their strength?” In the picture you can see in the red corner the word “Kraft” which means “Strength” in English and it is pointing to the title called “Durchsetzung und Einfluss” meaning “Confidence and Impact”. In each of the 8 fields we have one battery that wants to be charged by fulfilling the need behind it. The two needs (the batteries that we want to charge) behind the motivation of being strong, confident and impactful is Self-Awareness and Self-Effectiveness. This means you as an individual want to understand where your place is in society. You understand what your strengths are and what your weaknesses are and develop the ability to act and react. If you ever asked yourself WHO YOU ARE and WHAT TO DO - you will find the answer in the Red Corner.
