I love Bruce Lee because he emphasizes the importance of creating your own style. You can learn a system or a form but somehow you have to find your own style.
Because all the different techniques and schools have understood something but it's never the complete picture of reality. In order for you to really use your power in an effective way you have to let go of the past because you recreate what you have learned over and over again. It's not "bad" but it's also NOT YOU but it is important! Every motion is represented in your brain and part of the collective und universal consciousness. It doesn't want you to do the same over and over again. Someone did it. THe universe knows the Tai Chi Forms by now and it's good to learn them but like ALbert Einstein said: "the same thinking creates the same results" and therefore you have to find your uniqueness in this homogenous pool. I am learning Tai Chi and Wing Chun and had this beautiful reveleation while swimming. I realized that the swimming strokes were identical to the moves I was learning in Wing Chun and Tai Chi. I was flashed!! The last few months have been crazy! Everything is making sense and connects and this is what I mean. Now I am starting to practice judo and was so suprised that I could feel how the martial art developed from rice farmers. I felt how I was a big sack of rice that he pulled on his back and then threw over his shoulder. Eveything is connected within a country - and even over the borders!!! With MMA we are on the forefront of human evolution! We are overcoming the cultural bias by connecting the different approaches into the most effective fighting styles. But do not simply do it to win the UFC. Fall in love with your body, at least this is my approach: understanding the kinestetic intelligence of the body. Regarding the culture heritage of the different Arts: Can you see or sense it? Did you connect to the culture? If you haven't, you miss something. The traditions of the different Arts are brilliant and so full of wisdom. It is worth exploring them and using them as guiding lights in your pursuit for _______________. What do you believe: why is Wisdom in Martial Arts so important? In my opinion each approach teaches us certain virtues even though they differ from country to country and as a consequence we are more open-minded. We don't judge too much because we start to understand that each culture decided for themselves what is important to them and what not. Once you understand, you are less likely to be involved into fights while traveling, you are able to truely acknowledge the achievements of the country and you will become a true friend. In German "Wisdom" means "Weisheit" and refers to "showing the way". Wisdom is like a signpost which says: "Go this way".

![]() Mixed Martial Arts or a Martial Art teaches you a great deal of abilities which are heightening your awareness for the richness of this world. Like in science there are a lot of departments because this world is based on diversity and different groups are exploring different areas of this world. Learning techniques and approaches from different cultures connects you with their inherent strategies to solve problems. If you are a ninja- or spy-like person, you might say you "hack" their "security system" or a as a humble and brave warrior you can also say that you connect to their way of living.
As a foreigner you help the mothercountry to see themselves again - from a different ankle! It creates the space to reform, change and adapt their codes of living. This is so so important because first when you REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE DOING, IT WILL BE EFFECTIVE! The Question of Respect is: does it still serve humanity? and shows us perfectly how two Forces have to hold together in order to be stable! The past has served a purpose - that is very important to acknowledge: Be grateful for all that we are experiencing and please don't be upset in the first place: practice to see the good in all the technology, tools and practices as they have served their purpose for humanity! it's better to invest time and energy into understanding the function and mechanics of something than to be nagging (Trend of the Future: Individuality!) It means to honor what is already there: the center, the essence, the lineage and tradition of our culture. At the same time REspect means to see our own culture through the lense of another culture. It gives space and the opportunity to be more proud of what we have reached (our strengths), gain clarity for the direction of our evolutionary decisiona and becoming aware of possible weaknesses. We do a full system security check that strengthens the center and questions the units attached to it, those which are changeable. Trough this process we are able to navigate more precisely and effectively as we now understand better that the coordinates that we are following are fruitful for our unique culture and which paths might be dangerous! We know what is ourselves: "we proud that everything we do is made with love" whereas the other culture has formed a different belief of themselves. sacred geometrey and language analysis: You brother is creating a machine and you are like "wow!". You have a lot of respect for him. But what does respect mean? "re-spect" : "re" from Latin= "again" and "spect(are)" from Latin = to observe --> "again ob-serve" which means "to question again if it stills serves" ("ob" is german for "if" --> ob-serve). I asked myself who or what should it serve? One answer is within the word: V = in Latin Numbers = 5 and 5 is E SERVE --> "ser" latin for "being" E+E combines to a chinese symbol standing for "human" ![]() Let’s go.. Be humble – ready to rumble! One sides favors the other side. This is the basic understanding of the Symbol known as Tai Chi. It looks like two drops or two fishes chasing each other. A process of swirling around water, a purification process we can observe in rivers and in the air. The book “Tao Te Ching” written by one of my greatest idols Laozi: a Daoist sage from Mountain Wudang in China. I heard people saying: “you cannot understand this book”. It contains a very deep wisdom of the working of our world. It was a motivation for me to study it and I can say with clear eyes and a full heart: we are in a collective process of understanding how this beautiful world works Laozi knows about it and therefore navigates the human plane with ease and grace. The knowledge is revealing itself more and more. It is about understanding the dynamic of the two forces of giving and taking. I give – You receive. It’s a communication process that happens within oneself, goes out and triggers an internal communication process in the other. How the cognitive (mind) information processing works, I will explain in an other article. As I said: we have a male (yang) part and a female (yin) part. Therefore we say that the man gives and the woman receives. This is on the outside of the communication process. The essence (the small dots) show that in the active part there is a receiving part in order to maintain balance. If you only give, you lose yourself and therefore you need the quality of the yin. The same is true for the receiving part. Within the process of receiving a motivation is give is born. When you receive you want to give back. I conclude that every human being is like the Tai Chi Symbol. I mean.. I believed that men are the YANG PART and women are the YIN PART. Do you see the consequences? Men have to make first contact with women. Men have to be the active part. They take the responsibility and the lead. Men are running behind women, chasing them. A very interesting point is now that women start to evolve in their male qualities and start leading and therefore we get chased and have to become more receptive. We become equal and the fight of the genders becomes equal. It’s not that women have been suppressed. We just focused on men being active and women being receptive. Now, we are opening to the opportunity to see and experience the full spectrum. Key learnings for today:
Future outlook: Men becoming more receptive means to observe patterns which leads to a more objective man instead of an angry one. The evolutionary process leads to meditation, to understand processes by observing them and applying schemes from one area to another (third step of learning) This means: when you understand a process within your body, you somehow feel drawn to the same processes in the outside world. It might not be easy to understand this and it’s not even important to grasp it intellectually! More important is to start to fall in love with observing. Observing means not to influence the outside world, it means being passive and letting the world as it is. You become more objective, a quality that is embodied by a referee which often wears black and white like in the Tai Chi symbol. East and West are coming together. Here we see what I mean with that you find what you understood in a different setting. The sage finds and understands the process of the two opposing forces in themselves and finds them again in the referee leading a sports match. The referee is like the sage and the sage like the referee. East is West and West is East. It means: if you go all the way to East, at some point you end up what was described as West and the same is true for going to the other side. The Tai Chi of the sages is the same love like playing Football is for young athletes... This is the positive aspect of the YIN part. In the next article I want to show the “darker side” of it by focusing on how to handle weaknesses. Since a few years I am DIVING INTO THE WORLD OF MARTIAL ART and now I see results that fascinated me. People told me that they see me as "talented" and I always felt that the strategy on how to approach life makes me somehow superior than others. Well, my dad and my mum divorced when I was born and that's the reason why I always focused more on fighting than on loving. Since my EARLY CHILDHOOD I was in CONSTANT BATTLE and NEVER EXPERIENCED A TRUELY LOVING FAMILY?
How do you feel about your early childhood? What are the effects on your life decades later? What can you be grateful for? Now, as I proceed in the training I can see it. I played football because I wanted to win against others. I wanted to be better than others which is A MOTIVATION THAT IS ANTI-SOCIAL and THAT'S NOT SOMETHING BAD! It happens all the time, in your job, in your sports and at home. It is good to be aware of the social and anti-social processes that you know where you open your heart and where you better do not. INTERESTING ENOUGH YOU CAN BECOME MORE SOCIAL BY FAVORING ANTI-SOCIAL TRAITS (like winning) because when you are better than anyone else you develop PRIDE and you feel like an EXPERT in YOUR FIELD. Then you approach others with humility and you want to help. In this way: the End is a Beginning. You were fighting everyone and now you help everyone and that's why we have so many competitions and hierarchies. To become good in something means to raise in PRESTIGE and STATUS. People know you have disciplined yourself and you REALLY WANTED TO DO IT and therefore IT IS EASIER TO TRUST YOU. You are recognized for what you have achieved and you are embodying the traits of
This is connected to the Hormon of SEROTONIN - which is build especially through having and working on LONG-TERM GOALS. Instead of fast energy rushes of dopamin (lust, parties, laughter etc.), you fuel your body with a strong substance that strengthens your character permanently. It makes you tougher for a crisis, makes you charismatic and helps you to achieve goals more easily. You want to be succesfull? You want to be in peace? This is what you need and you need to produce it by yourself (instead of taking supplements) ONE LAST AMAZING INTERSTING FACT: SEROTONIN IS LINKED TO MELATONIN WHICH IS PRODUCED AT NIGHT BETWEEN 11 PM and 1 PM. This means: A lot of your "Gains" are achieved in resting times. You learn in the times you actually don't learn. It happens subconsciously. For your life this means: SLEEP EARLY, REGULARLY AND WELL! What have you understood through the article? What will you take with you? How do you bring your thoughts and feelings into adequate action? My suggestion: Have a journal and write down what interests you about the topics and note small to-dos that take you a small step further. What I have learned is: it is not so much how long you do something, but how often. It's better to do it more often than doing it too long and being hard on yourself. Enjoy! |
